Banks Records & Archives Management Conference
The banking industry is still undergoing fast change as a result of legislative changes, digitalization, and changing consumer demands. Records and archives management has become one of the most important foundations in this dynamic environment for fostering accountability, compliance, and institutional resilience.
More attention is being paid to how banks handle both digital and physical records as a result of the Data Protection Act (2019) and increased supervision by the Central Banks and other regulatory agencies. Structured regulations and compliance systems must oversee the whole information lifecycle, from board papers and customer data to credit documentation.
The Banks Records & Archives Management Conference, a premier platform created to give professionals the skills, resources, and tactics they need to effectively manage records and information assets within the banking and financial services ecosystem, is being held by Records and Information Management East Africa (RIMEA) in response to these expanding needs.
The conference aims to:
- Strengthen the understanding of records and archives management as a compliance and governance function.
- Build capacity in digital records preservation and electronic document management systems (EDMS).
- Promote the implementation of data protection and privacy frameworks in financial institutions.

RIMEA invites professionals, researchers, and practitioners in banking, records management, and data governance to submit abstracts for presentation.
Submission Guidelines:
– Abstract length: 250–300 words
– Include: Title, Author(s), Institution, Contact Email
– Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt, 1.5 spacing
– Deadline for submission: 30th October 2025
– Notification of acceptance: 8th November 2025
