Records and Information Management East Africa (RIMEA) has announced the 2025 Annual Sacco Records Management Officers Conference, set to take place at the prestigious Grand Winston Hotel, Nakuru. The three-day event, scheduled for September 17th to 19th, 2025, is expected to bring together records management professionals from across all Saccos under the theme: “Transforming Records Management through EDMS Implementation.”

For the last three years, this annual gathering has provided SACCOs with a vital platform to discuss trends, challenges, and opportunities in records management. This year’s focus reflects the accelerating shift towards Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS)—a key driver in enhancing compliance, safeguarding institutional memory, improving service delivery, and streamlining document workflows.

Discussions will focus on regulatory frameworks, records retention and disposal schedules, audit trails, risk management, and accountability.
