The Network of Records and Information Management Professionals in East Africa (RIMPEA) is pleased to announce an Open Forum and Expert Lecture focusing on Digitization, Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS), and eGovernance Readiness.
As organizations across East Africa accelerate digital transformation and automation, this session provides practical insights, policy guidance, and sector-specific strategies that institutions can apply immediately to strengthen information governance, compliance, and digital workflow optimization.
We inviting Records Management Professionals, ICT professionals, Policy Makers, Data Governance Officers, Public Sector Officers, and private-sector leaders eager to modernize their information systems and align with national, regional, and global best practices.
Participants will benefit from expert insights on: Three fundamental topics that are crucial to contemporary information governance will be covered in the talk. It will first look at Digitization Planning and Infrastructure, with an emphasis on how businesses may design efficient digitization programs, establish image workflows, implement quality control procedures, and choose suitable hardware and metadata standards.
The second topic of discussion will be EDMS Implementation and Optimization, which will include advice on selecting appropriate platforms, including automated workflows, boosting user adoption, and guaranteeing that electronic documents are safe, accessible, and compliant throughout their lifecycle. Lastly, the talk will cover eGovernance Readiness, emphasizing how organizations can implement robust data-governance and privacy controls, align with regional and national digital-governance frameworks, and move from manual to digital service delivery in an organized, legal, and effective way.
