While tertiary education equips one with the necessary papers to get the job, with the HR enabling them to get quality induction, the route to being a successful employee is being able to build your capacity in your area of specialization.
In records management the constant changes in the field require one to be abreast with the changes.
In most workplaces, one is lucky to secure one chance to attend a conference, workshop or even a seminar, while in others it takes a lifetime. In the field of records management, a year in the dark without getting such opportunities means missed education, quality practical training, networking opportunity among others. Attending them offers an opportunity to develop new professional relationships, meet new friends, gain knowledge and become more successful in your career.

In June this year, we sent out a questionnaire on one area in records management that guys would love to see in our next trainings and out of the various answers, 80% chose information security, 60% want electronic document management solution, 90% would like to attend one on digitization/bulk scanning and about 20% chose policies and procedures.
