2017 to deliver 4 major conferences in Record, Knowledge and Library Management
I start by reminding ourselves “Information is power. The secreting or hoarding of knowledge or information may be an act of tyranny camouflaged as humility. The control of information is something the elite always does, particularly in a despotic form of government. Information, knowledge, is power.”
in 2016, RIMEA was able to hold 34 workshops and training covering the fields of records management, physical archiving, electronic document management systems, knowledge management and library management, in total hosting 1,200 participants across the private and government sector.
RIMEA was also able to re-brand the records professionals network and gave rise to records and information management professionals in East Africa as well as Network for Sacco Records and Information Management. These two networks should provide a platform for industry peers to network and grow.
2017 Conferences
With most organizations seeking to improve on their service delivery, empower employees as well as reduce the cost of service delivery, RIMEA wil be holding conferences aimed at bringing together records and information professionals.
